With a reputation for progressive dog care services, Candace Rose and her team from the Canine Crèche Group have developed an ‘in-home’ pet care service, which is set to revolutionise the industry.
Through research and meetings with Veterinary practitioners, the Canine Crèche Group learnt that following surgery, many pets have to return to the vets with added complications because they’ve injured themselves when left unsupervised.
Founder and MD Candace explains: “The idea has developed initially from many of our clients struggling when their dogs needed to be castrated or spayed, or maybe had an injury or illness and needed at home care. We always listen to our clients and found that this situation really caused issues, particularly if they had to go back to work.”
The new ‘Nana Crèche’ offers 4 services:
- Post-operative care to help cover small operations, such as castration or longer-term injury or illness.
- Specialist dog walking with GPS tracking, which provides the client with details of the walk
- Companion visits for dogs who may need a comfort break, company a cuddle or a run around the garden
- ‘Poop-scooping’ the garden
All Nana’s at the Canine Crèche Group are DBS cleared, fully insured, canine first-aid trained and fully qualified, with training covering every aspect of dog behaviour, care and engagement. Candace is passionate in ensuring all Nana’s provide love and attention to the dogs, ensuring extra specialist care is provided when needed.

The Canine Crèche are currently selecting and training their first intake of Nana’s, the service will be live in summer 2018 and they aim to have a Nana in every postcode.
