South Norfolk Council prize winner celebrates as she receives prize

Six-year-old Luca Webb from Wymondham celebrated last week after winning the top prize in a South Norfolk Council-run competition.

Luca won a year’s free membership at South Norfolk Council’s Bananas Soft Play at Long Stratton Leisure Centre after coming up with the name for the soft play’s monkey – Mango.

Mango met Luca at the newly-refurbished Centre last week and presented him with his prize.

Luca’s mum said: “Luca and his sister absolutely love the new soft play area, it’s a fantastic addition to the leisure centre, so having a year’s free membership is just brilliant.”

Nearly 400 people entered the competition to name the monkey, with 2-year-old Noah Gibbs winning a runner up prize of 1 month’s membership.

The Centre has recently undergone a £2million refurbishment, which includes a brand new 80 station gym with state-of-the-art equipment, a new air-conditioned fitness suite, new changing facilities and showers, a café and the soft play area for children.

The soft play is proving a hit with the little ones and their parents, for more information visit www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/bananas
