An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join the Support Services team at Larking Gowen in Norwich. Not only will you have responsibility for a number of duties in the Finance team but you will also have the ability to be involved in internal projects as and when required. This opportunity would suit someone who is keen to make a difference and has an ability to work in a team as well as with autonomy. This is a full time role (minimum of 30 hours p/w).

More information on the role – main responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger Duties
- Logging and posting of supplier invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders
- Allocating invoices to budget holders for approval
- Liaising with budget holders with invoices queries and using FocalPoint
- Support budget holders with FocalPoint queries & ensure all old POPs are closed so committed orders can be reviewed [Lead]
- Liaising with suppliers over queries
- Statement reconciliation
- Administration of BACs payment runs to suppliers [Lead]
- Aged Creditors review [Lead]
- Assisting the senior finance administrators in the calculation of quarterly prepayments and accruals.
- Posting monthly standing orders and direct debits
- Processing cheque requests and credit card payments
Cashier Duties
- Recording of daily receipts on cashbook/receipts log
- Posting of receipts to fees ledger and allocation against invoices
- Processing of credit card payments and posting to fees ledger
- Accurate recording of daily banking and banking monies
- Liaising with clients and professional groups over payment queries
Client Account Administration
- Administration of client accounts [Lead]
- Administration of petty cash [Lead]
- Reconciling Partnerships Barclaycard accounts [Lead]
BRD Cashier Duties
With accountability to the BRD Partner, duties include:
- Primarily banking of receipts for BRD cases and writing out of cheques
- Full duties are defined in separate BRD protocols and procedures
Credit Control
- Assist credit controller with basic admin tasks
Other Responsibilities:
- Explaining Premium Credit Finance Package
- Assisting with Direct Debit Administration
- Indexing Letters in Virtual Cabinet
- Taking Card Payments on sage Pay
- Updating contacts and addresses on PE Net
- Saving emails in VC
- Maintains good working relationships both internally and externally (with clients, suppliers and banks)
- Providing holiday cover for the wider Finance and Facilities team (to include providing reception cover)
- Adheres to the firms risk management policies and procedures
- Attends training courses as identified in order to develop both technical and personal skills and keeps records for compliance purposes
- Undertakes other duties to meet the demands of the business
- Ad hoc projects as and when required
Desirable:
Experience
- Operating in a professional accountancy practice or professional services environment
- Experience of using Practice Engine and Access Accounting Dimensions
Essential:
Education and qualification
- GCSE 5 (A-C) including Maths and English
Experience:
- Using Microsoft packages, internet and email
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
