Celebrations as Tuddenham Mill receives AA notable wine accolade

For the third year running Tuddenham Mill, the three-rosette restaurant and boutique hotel near Bury St Edmunds, has received the ‘Notable Wine List’ award from the AA.  Chosen from over a thousand nominees based on the selection, quality and presentation of the wine list, the team is thrilled to receive this recognition.

With prices ranging from £21 – £215, Tuddenham Mill offer a diverse wine list to ensure guests receive a unique experience, with a wide range of the wines sourced from a variety of wine merchants. Notable favourites include the 2015 Patagia Envero Gran Reserva and the Domaine Cybiids 2016 Chardonnay – as well as a particularly stunning Rose from Giffords Hall in nearby Bury St. Edmunds.

Tuddenham Mill’s Chef Patron, Lee Bye, commented: “We’ve built up a wine list that’s a real mix of traditional flavours, and we’re not afraid to throw in some modern flourishes. It’s a reflection on how we run the hotel and restaurant really, so it’s great that we’re being recognised for it. After all, the ‘Notable Wine List’ award is one of the most prestigious in the restaurant industry.”

The AA’s secretive inspectors have obviously been enjoying their time at Tuddenham Mill in recent years. They’ve given the hotel 4 AA Silver stars, and the restaurant has achieved the coveted three-rosette status. As Lee explains: “They’ve given us awards for culinary excellence and accommodation so it’s an extra feather in our caps that they rate our wine list so highly too.”
