Following a shift in business landscape with all eyes on digital performance, a strong 12 months and a string of client wins including Fortnum & Mason, Forest Live Concerts and Doguud, Fountain Partnership Ltd (Fountain) has bolstered its team with the announcement of eight new recruits. In addition, the global digital marketing agency, which applies a huge focus on workplace wellbeing, has officially ‘opened shop’ at its brand-new headquarters in the heart of Norwich, Norfolk.
Strengthening Fountain’s client service offering – and a brand-new role for the business – is Aimee Hunt who joins as Head of Client Services having 16 years experience within digital and creative roles. Aimee will be supporting Fountain’s to deepen the relationships they currently share with the clients but also help identify opportunities to add value and growth.
Alongside Aimee, Fountain has also welcomed Anh Dang as Senior Digital Marketing Consultant, Ellie Ross-Wilkinson as Graphic Designer, Sharni Poyntz as Office Manager, Christos Gardikiotis as Digital Marketing Consultant (PPC), Victoria Burroughes as Senior Account Manager, Ryan Woods as Digital Marketing Executive (SEO), Elspeth Richmond-Vaughan as a Project Manager.
The eight new appointments, based predominantly in Norwich, one in the South West and one in Canada, have resulted in the ‘world’s best agency for growing businesses online,’ according to Google, becoming a team of 45 members across a broad range of departments. The SEO department in particular has seen the biggest hike in growth over the last six months – growing from a team of three to seven, and they’re still looking to expand further.
Alice Rose, Managing Director for Fountain, comments: “It’s been an incredibly positive 12 months of growth for Fountain. As more and more businesses realise the true potential of digital marketing and move their budgets to focus more on online activities, we have found ourselves growing ten-fold – not only in team members and growing client base but in square feet too as our new headquarters in Norwich is triple the size of our previous premises.
“It’s a real honour to welcome fresh, new talent to Fountain. Many of our new recruits step into roles completely brand-new for the business such as client services and creative support, demonstrating our innovative attitude to growth. The new appointments complement our existing team perfectly, and will ensure we continue to acquire and deliver quality and effective results for our clients across the globe from the very heart of our company in Norfolk.”
The global pandemic has resulted in a change of attitude towards office space – either closing or downsizing. Many firms such as Deloitte, KPMG and Capita have led the way in closing office space as working from home procedures become more established. Yet a strong response from the Fountain team wanting to return to the office, has seen the business buck this trend and upped sticks to a brand-new premises which has tripled its floor space. The new space based on Surrey Street, Norwich features larger desks with electronic sit and stand functionality to improve physical wellbeing within the workspace.
“The marketing industry is all about being creative and collaborative. Virtually, this can be difficult which is why we wanted to give our team the opportunity to each have a dedicated work space which they can use as they wish,” continues Rose.
The office design was managed by local company office refurbishment business – responsible for revamping Norwich City Football Club’s dressing rooms, press lounge and office space – Bluespace Ltd.
Today Fountain’s headquarters boasts four large meeting rooms – each with state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, – a dedicated kitchen and break area, a library which acts as a no phone zone, and a recording studio for podcast and video content. The kitchen and break area will also be used as an auditorium, allowing Fountain to host events and training sessions for their extended network.
“It’s been almost three years in the making and finally the doors are open! It’s been really exciting not only welcoming back the team to the office, but introducing them (and our clients) to this fantastic new space. Our workplace wellbeing initiative has consistently been at the heart of this design. This is the team’s space – a place that brings the future workplace to life – one our team can enjoy, be proud of and most importantly be the best version of themselves,” concludes Rose.
Fountain – who boasts clients such as Stansted Express, East Midlands Rail and HRA Pharma – has recently been crowned finalists at The Company Culture Awards for Best Team and EMEA Inspiring Workplaces Awards for Inspiring Culture.
