Hoveton Hall set to host charity screening of The Greatest Showman

With Norfolk and the rest of the country perhaps set for the last rays of summer this weekend, why not enjoy a film under the stars and support a good cause as East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) puts The Greatest Showman on a big screen at Hoveton Hall?

The event on Saturday, 14 September is sponsored by local ice cream producer Parravani’s. There will be hot food and drinks, or guests are welcome to bring a picnic.

Emma Benstead, EACH Norfolk Events Fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited to be showing the cultural phenomenon that is The Greatest Showman and especially at such a beautiful venue. With summer drawing to a close, come and join us for what’s shaping up to be a great night of music, laughter and entertainment.

“All money raised will go towards The Nook as, although we’re so excited at the imminent opening of our new hospice, we still have a little bit to go to reach the £10 million target and ensure the fitting out process gets completed as planned.”

The Greatest Showman, featuring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Michelle Williams, was released in December 2017 and its music is a major part of current pop culture, with the soundtrack album becoming only the second album in 30 years – after Adele’s 21 – to achieve 11 consecutive weeks at number one.

Gates will open at 6pm. The film (lasting one hour and 45 minutes) will start at sundown around 7.30pm. There will be no reserved seating, so guests are advised to take blankets and collapsible chairs for full comfort.

Tickets are £14 and blankets can be hired for £2. Booking and more information about the event can be found here.
